Hitting Pause

We have to return to our regularly scheduled lives this week and so all progress on the kitchen will be put on hold as jrh goes to Chicago for a week of meetings and I scramble to catch up with clients and school and family  obligations. We have lots of little details to attend to: moulding to install and paint, touch up paint to finish, doors to paint, wall galleries to redesign for the halls, grout to apply to the tile…. but that will all take a break…and quite frankly I think we need it. Here are a few pictures of where we are at as of right now…

*Note the wall color is off on these photos – it is called Soothing Green Tea – it is a bright green though not as yellow as the stove picture makes it seem (I forgot to fix the white balance and don’t want to go back right now to do it)

I am so pleased and can hardly remember what the old kitchen used to look like… I am really impressed with what we were able to do and though this may not have changed the layout of the kitchen or altered the flow of house, the facelift has really put a much happier face on our downstairs (and its owners).
